What it means
The program used the convert option on MQGET, but conversion was not possible, so the data is returned unchanged. CodedCharSetId and Encoding describe the data actually returned. It is a warning. The cause can also be a code page or encoding value that the conversion service does not support.
Typical causes
- The sender's Format, CodedCharSetId or Encoding does not describe the data correctly.
- The code page pair (for example an EBCDIC CCSID to a client CCSID) is not supported for conversion.
- The receiving program asks for a CCSID that the queue manager cannot convert to.
How to fix it
- Check the Format, CodedCharSetId and Encoding the sender sets.
- Check both CCSIDs are supported for conversion by the queue manager.
- If the conversion is not supported, convert the data in the application.
- Always read CodedCharSetId and Encoding after a warning before using the data.
