What it means
The client reached the queue manager, but the channel name it gave does not exist there. Channel names are case-sensitive, so APP.SVRCONN and app.svrconn are different.
Typical causes
- A typo or wrong case in the channel name in the client settings.
- The SVRCONN channel was never defined on this queue manager, or was deleted.
- The client's CCDT is old or points to another environment.
- The client reached a different queue manager on the same host.
How to fix it
- Check the channel name the client uses, including case.
- Run DISPLAY CHANNEL(name) CHLTYPE(SVRCONN) on the queue manager.
- Define the channel, or correct the client settings or CCDT.
- Check the port leads to the queue manager you expect.
